We include spiritual awareness as one of our level one "build a foundation within the life of the child' program offerings. The growth spiritually promotes the self-esteem of the child. We show how to develop spiritually by example. Our youth pay attention to adult lives to look for the fruit of what we say and do.
Some of the more successful individuals in our world have adopted the same philosophy to include prayer in every event that they sponsor.
A perfect example is Dr. Ben Carson who says in his book titled "Gifted Hands" that he had an unusual temper when he was younger and made all "F's" until he was about 5th grade. Once he started to read and study The Holy Bible his grades went up with mentoring and his temper and frustration lessen until it went away. Today he is one of the top surgeons in the world. He was the first doctor in the world to successfully separate twins who were joined at the head.
We have chosen as one of our spiritual awareness exercises to do Bible study in the local homes as well as different places as the one in the picture below Biblical Gardens" in Grass Valley, Ca. We integrate 4 different delivery methods of teaching which usually helps everyone to understand and relate to what was taught and how it helps or prepares them for today's challenges in every day life. This Bible study is followed by a hike in the beautiful 20 acres garden , a picnic lunch, and some type of object lesson /game to reinforce what was taught. Biblical Gardens is a place where many go to pray and our youth have always loved going when we take "Bible Study" offsites.

Mentoring is not a one month event. It can be a life time event for individuals. Our director of GFWL Inc. has worked with others to set up "one on one" mentoring programs. One on one mentoring works best when mentor and mentee are available to get together. As well, mentors experience or lack of can place a cap on the mentee's perception of what is possible. In other words, we have found that mentoring and coaching is more effective when the mentor or coach life experiences are examples of what they are teaching. Most of GFWL Inc staff and advisory teams have traveled and done business worldwide for years and most have sat where the youth and young adults are sitting today (in a single parent family home lacking necessary support to become all that they can be).
We are advocates for group mentoring and coaching where we allow many talented, gifted, mature spiritual leaders with global ministering experiences, and experienced mentors, coaches, to speak into the lives of the youth and young adults. This type mentoring tends not to place a cap on the perceptions and potentials of the young adults.
