We are a U.S.-based, global reach, multi-cultural, "501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation. Our founder is Shirley Faye Smith,  incorporated the non-profit in July 2001 in California. And Grooming Future World Leaders Inc was granted it's "501 (c) 3 status by the IRS in December 2001. Shirley also incorporated the non-profit in Georgia in May 2007.

Grooming Future World Leaders Inc. operates on the premise that few of the "at risk" youth and young adults would consciously "choose" to be left behind.  But many lack the normal support systems that most humans need, especially during their developing years, to affirm their potential for great success.  We are youth and young adult advocates.  Our objectives are achieved through well-thought out and researched development program suite that features the following service areas:  international missions/travel, careers (with global reach) development, leadership development (with a focus on the global economy, global warming, religion/spiritual awareness, and global policy), global health issues as HIV/AIDS/STD prevention education programs, multi-cultural awareness and respect for people of all nations, and education (academic support and guidance) programs.

Due to the economic crisis in the USA currently, we have found the need to develop a housing counseling program to help our young adults and adults to become more aware of  ways to survive the housing crisis.  It is never too early to learn how to prepare to purchase a home or rent a home and live on your own.  As well, those who own a home need guidance in keeping their home. GFWL Inc has been counseling young adults and adults since 2008 formally as an organization.  We have counselors with greater than 10 years of experience in housing counseling.  Please see our housing counseling program for more details.

Most youth services for "at risk" youth are piecemeal and fragmented.  Our model emphasizes long-term commitment to individual development and a holistic approach to serving the needs of youth and young adults. The goal, consistently, is to move an individual through successively higher levels of achievement and development until he or she can see pathways of success and even reach back to help others.  Individuals may enter this progressive development program at any of the 4 levels.  Level 1 begins with basics of building self-esteem, health issues awareness, and spiritual awareness.  Level 2 includes self-sufficiency, acceptance of responsibility, and skill development.  Level 3 teaches the importance of giving and helping others and other community involvement.  Level 4 includes the youth and young adult becoming a role model and is retained by the organization as mentors and program managers for others coming through the programs.
