Our young adult volunteers receive their certificates for jobs well done with planning and implementing the summit.


Shirley Smith, Director of GFWL presents Dr. Dudley Burton Chair of the Environmental Studies Dept. at CSUS a thank you certificate for his speech concerning our environment (a look at career opportunity for young adults and issues within our local and global situations)


Theartris Ervin Marketing Strategist for Future Products with the INTEL Corporation.  Speaks about the future of technology and careers with global reach.

 Katherine Brown-Farvot of Kaiser Sacramento South spoke on Global Health Issues: HIV/AIDS/STDs.


Dr Beverly Swanson spoke on Transformation.  How to shift our thinking to global affairs.

  Sean Wells is with The George Lucas FIlms Corp.  He spoke about the Film and Movie Global reach career opportunities.


Shirley Smith, founder and director of GFWL Inc. spoke on "Beyond the Summit" Think Global, GIve Back, and International Travel and orphanage adoption in South Africa and visits to China and Japan.

An International Affair involves sharing of cultures and understanding and appreciating  the likenesses and differences among the many cultures from various nations. We also highlight every nations contributions which has made this a more global community.  Music and food seems to bring the world together. This is a common ground that allows us to listen to each others stories (successes and failures).

Gathering of youth in the Bahamas.  Our youth need the exposure to other nations and to the people of other nations.


Everyone enjoyed the Native Americans blessings and dance at the outdoor  One Root Festival.

Fun times and learning about cultures of people from other nations.  All ages can enjoy. something for everyone from the young to the old.


Edutainment not just entertainment.  What do youth do for fun in Mexico compared to games and pass time activities in other countries?


Youth learning to help and support other youth. Youth taking on leadership roles and receiving community service points in their high schools.

Corporations pitch in to have booths and do face painting as well as help with printed materials and giveaways to the community.
